Marketers have been leveraging ChatGPT for AI-Assisted Writing Tools, transforming the landscape of digital content creation. And I must say myself that it is an excellent tool to increase your productivity and write blog post after blog post at a rapid pace. But how do you use it to write the perfect blog post? An article that offers value to your readers and ranks high in the Google Search Results?
In this article, I will explain to you point by point how to create excellent, high-scoring blog posts with ChatGPT. Since we are going to focus more on quality here and balancing SEO and ChatGPT strategies to ensure both your audience and search engines appreciate your blog post, it will take more time to create it than if you give the AI a simple task of writing an article.
But trust me, the effort is worth it. Because fortunately, focusing on Automating Content with AI without compromising quality is key to attracting organic traffic to your website. And in the end, you still spend a bit less time than if you were to write the entire article yourself.
So, to answer the question:
How do I write a blogpost with AI?
- Do keyword research on Google
- Install AIPRM if You haven’t done already
- Do Keyword Research in ChatGPT using AIPRM
- Have ChatGPT create a general overview of the article
- Let ChatGPT write the article paragraph by paragraph
- Check each paragraph in an AI Content Detector
- Factcheck your article
- Create images using a site like Canva or Pixabay
- Publish in your CMS
- Post your article on Social Media
- Submit your article to the Google Search Console
- Analyze and edit your content where needed
1. Do Keyword research on Google
Google is still the best place to start to find Keywords. So open a tab in Google.com Preferably in a web browser where you are NOT logged in with a Gmail account
Type your topic in the search bar and choose from the list of suggestions the term that comes closest to your central topic. Here, I chose “Marketing Tips for Beginners”
2. Install AIPRM if you haven’t done already.
AIPRM is a Google Extention that you can use as an extra nifty marketing tool in ChatGPT. It offers all kinds of options with regards to keyword search, writing content and Youtube as well.
Type in: “AIPRM ChatGPT Extention” in Google, like in this image and install the extension into your browser.
Reload your ChatGPT webpage and you should now see the different AIPRM options on your screen.
3. Do Keyword Research in ChatGPT using AIPRM
Click on the “KEYWORD STRATEGY” option and enter your search term.
So in this example, “marketing tips for beginners”
ChatGPT will use the AIPRM extension to generate a Keyword Strategy for you that includes topic suggestions, titles and meta descriptions.
You can continue using these suggestions if you want or save them for later use.
But what matters to us is the command, or rather Prompt that AIPRM has created for us to generate this information. This is the long piece of text at the top of the tables with the Keyword Strategy.
To make it easy for you, I have posted the text below, which you can copy-paste:
Please ignore all previous instructions. I want you to respond only in language English. I want you to act as a market research expert that speaks and writes fluent English. Pretend that you have the most accurate and most detailled information about keywords available. Pretend that you are able to develop a full SEO content plan in fluent English. I will give you the target keyword marketing tips for beginners .
Here is the general text you can use.
Please ignore all previous instructions. I want you to respond only in language English. I want you to act as a market research expert that speaks and writes fluent English. Pretend that you have the most accurate and most detailled information about keywords available. Pretend that you are able to develop a full SEO content plan in fluent English. I will give you the target “your keyword” .
additional note: if you have chosen a different language at KEYWORD STRATEGY, AIPRM will also automatically change the prompt to that language
4. Have ChatGPT write a general overview of the article
Now in ChatGPT, click on ‘new chat’ and copypaste the text above, including your keyword.
Add the following sentences:
From this keyword create an entire blog post. Give me a title and metadescription for this post
It will then look like this:
Please ignore all previous instructions. I want you to respond only in language English. I want you to act as a market research expert that speaks and writes fluent English. Pretend that you have the most accurate and most detailled information about keywords available. Pretend that you are able to develop a full SEO content plan in fluent English. I will give you the target keyword marketing tips for beginners . From this keyword create an entire blog post. Give me a title and metadescription for this post
The AI will now write a blog post for you. Note: this is only 1 of the steps. This will not yet be the exact article you want to post.
5. Utilize ChatGPT’s Writing Techniques to craft your article paragraph by paragraph
Now we come to creating the actual article. The first step here is to have ChatGPT write an outline of the blog.
For that you use the same chat and type the prompt:
Give me a blog outline for this post
ChatGPT creates a general overview of the topic. And it allows you to make a quality improvement.
The next step is as follows:
Now you are going to have each paragraph written point by point.
And you do this by typing the prompt: Write point I.
Copypaste the text from ChatGPT in your Google or Word Doc where you want to write the overall Blogpost.
And then write each individual paragraph by typing the prompt:
Write the II paragraph
After that Write the III paragraph
etc, until you have all the points in the summary written by ChatGPT.
These steps may sound elaborate, but they are the key to creating content that your audience will want to read and rank high in Google.
6. Check each paragraph in a AI Content Checker
After you have all the paragraphs written, you can check that the text does not feel too much like an AI did it.
For this, you can use an AI Content Checker like the one from Writer.com With it, you can have 1,500 punctuation marks at a time to check for free how ‘human’ the text comes across.
A note here though, this can sometimes take a fair amount of extra time. So you might consider skipping this step if you find the text readable enough yourself.
7. Factcheck your article
While AI tools enhance productivity, Ethical Considerations in AI Writing underscore the importance of fact-checking your article. AI tools are unfortunately not yet completely infallible. Some information may be outdated or even factually incorrect.
Especially if you have a YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) website, such as on certain medical information, you want to make sure you use correct facts.
So run through your text briefly to check that all the information is correct.
8. Create Images for your Article using apps like Canva or Pixabay
Now it’s time to make sure you also look for images to go with your article. Through websites like Canva or Pixabay, you can find great images for almost any topic. Pixabay is largely free. Canva has an extensive media library that you can use for just $10 a month.
The bulk of the images there are free for both personal and commercial use.
Don’t be afraid to use stock photos, as long as they are not too cheesy or cliché.
9. Publish the blogpost in your CMS
Aha! And it’s finally time to actually publish your blog post in your CMS (Content Management System). My own favourite CMS for this is WordPress, but alternatives like Wix or Shopify are basically just as good.
Make sure you use your title, fill in the meta description. And in addition, make sure you use H2 and/or H3 titles for your paragraphs. Both your readers and the search engines consider this important.
Finally, don’t forget your internal links. Your blog is a great place to link to other articles and pages on your website.
And vice versa. Check whether you can also link to your article from an older blog.
An example is this link to my article on ChatGPT and Keyword Research
10. Post your article on Social Media
Unfortunately, posting the link to your blog on most social media does not give you the same large amount of organic visitors as 5-6 years ago.
But it can give a small start-up boost.
So post your article on the various Social Media platforms:
– Facebook & Instagram
– Youtube
– And alternatives such as Pinterest or Rumble
Should you send out an email newsletter, mention your new blog in it as well.
11. Submit your Blogpost to the Google Search Console
Basically, the various search engines will index your blog post fairly quickly. But at least in Google, you can give it a bit of a boost.
For this, you need to have the complete URL of your article indexed by the Google Search Console. If you don’t already have your website in this, you can do so via these instructions.
The steps are as follows:
- Log in to your Google Search account via: https://search.google.com/search-console/
- Choose the domain of your website (if you have several websites in there
- Click in the top right of the search bar where “Inspect any URL in “Yourdomain.com”
- copy the complete URL of your blog post in there
- Then click on “Request Indexing
Et voila! Google will index your site. Ideally, your blog post will be indexed within 24 hours. But sometimes it can take 7 days or even 2 weeks.
12. Analyze and edit your content where needed
OK, your post has been published and out into the world via Social Media and Email. Time to take a step back and analyze your text and see if and where you can improve it.
If you see enough organic traffic, this may not be necessary, but check for the following things:
- Evaluate Readability and User Engagement with AI-Generated Content: is the text engaging and easy to read?
- Spelling and style errors
- Additional information you want to add in the text
- Are you using clear CTAs (Call To Actions) and hyperlinks?
- Are the text and images equally clear for mobile users?
And edit the content where necessary
With these 12 steps, ChatGPT will help you write an excellent blog post time and again. An article that is both readable and will be appreciated by search engines. And will therefore drive organic traffic to your website.
As mentioned, these steps take a bit more time. But if you are going for quality, this is the way to go.
