Now, you can use AI as well for your own, personal, productivity, by asking it to create a workable schedule for you. In this article I’ll be giving a you a few tips on how to utilize Google’s Gemini Tool (formerly known as Bard) for this.
If you want to use ChatGPT instead, read this article.
Creating a fast and workable weekly schedule with Gemini
First step is asking Gemini to create a fast and workable weekly schedule. This is perfect for someone is somewhat chaotic, like me. So in the Gemini (Bard) prompt, I type in the following command:
I want to be more productive. I’m somewhat chaotic. Can you create the outline of a weekly schedule with room for 2 important tasks per day and 3 to 4 minor tasks per day?
And get this nifty schedule:
The great thing is, that Gemini will automatically will offer your new schedule in a clear and concise table format.
Having Gemini create a more detailed weekly schedule
Next we want a more detailed schedule. This is perfect if you are used to working in a more structured way. And you know which tasks have a priority. Here I type in the following prompt in the Gemini Querry box:
I want a more detailed and structured weekly schedule. include the following daily tasks:
1 to 2 important tasks
Checking my inboxes
Fitness 3 to 4 times a week
Daily chores
Grocery shopping 2 to 3 times a week
Day of on wednesday and sunday
And get this:
Now, there’s no Table Format. So sometimes you have to give Gemini a little nudge. I type in:
I want a more detailed and structured weekly schedule. include the following daily tasks:
1 to 2 important tasks
Checking my inboxes
Fitness 3 to 4 times a week
Daily chores
Grocery shopping 2 to 3 times a week
Day of on wednesday and sunday
Use a table format
And this time the schedule is offered in a clear table format:
Working out a schedule for a project: Study Example
And the final tip, creating a schedule for a certain project. In this example I use a history student who needs to prepare for 6 exams spread out over about a week.
You want to give the AI tool some more information here to get a good result. For instance, what is the gist of the project, how much time do you have, which individual tasks need to be done. What is the deadline.
So I type in:
I am a history student and my trimester exams are in 4 weeks. I have 6 exams in 8 days. Can you create a detailed study schedule?
The exams are:
– Political History
– Classical History
– Modern History
– Economic History
– Medieval History
– The French Revolution
Can you create the schedule into a table format, so I can upload into Google Calendar?
I also want the opportunity to upload this schedule in my Google Calendar, if needed, so I added the last sentence.
This is the result:
Creating a fitness schedule with Gemini ( Bard)
And of course you can create a workable fitness schedule as well. I myself go to the gym about 3 to 4 times a week and am a spry middleaged man, so I type in the following prompt:
I want you to create a weekly fitness schedule. I work out 3 to 4 times a week. I am a 46 year old man. On one day I will do leg, triceps and chest excersizes, the day after biceps, back and stomach. I excersize about 1 hour each session. Can you use a table format?
And this is the nifty fitness schedule:
Conclusion
As you can see , using an AI Tool like Gemini ( Bard) to help you create a schedule is quite easy. I used to work either with a notepad or Excel, which took some time. But with AI you have a schedule for any task in a jiffy.
